Origins, Undoing Trauma & Spiritual Journey

Most everyday, I work on healing myself both mentally and spiritually.  Some days I get it right and some days I'm a work in progress.

My creativity, talents, skills, art is not just about myself.  It's about expressing ideas on how can I make a difference, express self-awareness that can heal Black Girl Trauma and have a beautiful impact on the culture.  As far back as I can remember, I've always had a strong appreciation for art, visual design, interior design, jewelry design, fashion, and makeup. From a young age, I was drawn to the beauty of these creative fields and was always visually creative myself. However, it wasn't until later in life that I discovered just how therapeutic and healing my art could be.

As someone who struggles with PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD, I find that creating art is a powerful outlet for me to express my emotions and tell my story when words sometimes fail me. As Albert Einstein says, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”  My creativity allows me the freedom to go to a higher level of consciousness with art, design, imagination, intuition, dreaming, praying and believing. Again, I quote Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution; "The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant" and “The only real valuable thing is intuition.”

The process of creating art enhanced with technology  has been a breakthrough for me on a personal level. I've learned that when I allow my right brain to flow freely through my art, while my left brain provides technical assistance, the results are much more impactful. I've noticed that my left brain tends to analyze everything to the extremes and can get stuck in that space, while my right brain is more spiritual, esoteric, and sometimes flighty, but it has no plans, strategy, or execution. By allowing these two sides of my brain to work together, I've discovered the true power of my art to heal and uplift me.

I'm a Work in Progress

How Do You Make Your  Mess Your Message in a Positive Way?

"It takes an unbelievable amount of faith to be an artists & creator. Faith in yourself but I think, more importantly, faith in the things that the world can't see for you yet.  And I say that because seeing is believing, but if you're not seeing yourself represented on screen, or on stage; how do you know what's possible; what's tangible?"
